Problem

Vermin Rising is a comic book that has been struggling to reach its customers. Despite the long history and success of this medium, it’s hard for indie authors and creations today because of two main problems: readers have become accustomed to reading books on their devices instead of in print, and comic book fans stay in a specific lane of already popular comic books. Vermin Rising needed a new approach to marketing, and we wanted to create an immersive experience to reading the comic book with the help of our website and social media pages. The goal was for people who visit the website and read the story in ways that INDIE comics haven’t seen before.

Solution

To reach more people, activate databases, and generate higher engagement with the Vermin Rising Comics, the agency decided to give out the first issue for free. By making it accessible for all of those who are interested in comics or want a fun read -even if they don’t necessarily like these types of stories-we were able not only to show off what’s new, but also increase brand awareness through online marketing strategies such as landing pages (an interactive website), influencer outreach, and Social Media, which helped us grow sales exponentially since launching last year.
